Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers on a long-term contract basis (3months plus). The primary responsibility of this role is to operate company vehicles to transport goods or materials safely and efficiently to their designated destinations. The HGV Class 2 will be responsible for adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate HGV Class 2 (tractor-trailers) in a safe and efficient manner.

· Transport goods or materials to designated locations following prescribed routes and schedules.

· Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, identifying and reporting any maintenance issues.

· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including hours of service regulations.

· Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.

· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.

· Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pickup of goods.

· Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and vehicle operation.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the vehicle and at delivery sites.

Qualifications:

· Valid HGV Class 2 driver's license with no more than 3 points.

· Minimum of 1 year experience operating HVG Class 2 vehicles.

· Knowledge of and compliance with applicable traffic laws and regulations.

· Ability to operate vehicles safely in various weather and road conditions.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Physical fitness and stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo.

· Flexibility to work variable hours and weekends as needed.

· Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems is preferred.
