Domestic Gas Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances in residential properties. The role requires a strong understanding of gas safety regulations and procedures, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our clients.

• Durham
• North Tyneside
• Wearside

Responsibilities:

· Service, and repair domestic gas appliances such as boilers and heaters.

· Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify issues and determine the most effective solutions.

· Ensure all work complies with relevant gas safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

· Provide excellent customer service, including communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

· Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including documentation of inspections and repairs.

· Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed to complete projects on time and within budget.

· Stay up to date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and high standards of workmanship.

· Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

· Gas Safe registered with relevant qualifications (e.g., ACS accreditation).

· Proven experience as a domestic gas engineer, with a strong track record of servicing, and repairing gas appliances.

· In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations and procedures.

· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

· Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.

· Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Employment options contract or permanent:

Rate or salary is negotiable dependant on qualification experience.

· Long term contract (up to 2 years) self-employed.

· Long term contract (up to 2 years) PAYE
